Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of Russia’s State Duma, in Beijing on Tuesday to reaffirm the strength of China-Russia relations.
Xi emphasized that ties between China and Russia represent one of the most stable and strategically important partnerships among major countries in today’s complex global landscape. He noted that deepening this high-level cooperation serves the fundamental interests of both peoples and contributes to global peace and stability.
Reflecting on his recent state visit to Russia, Xi highlighted the shared history of sacrifice made by both nations during World War II. He recalled the significant roles played by China and the Soviet Union on the Asian and European battlefields, stressing their contributions to the global victory over fascism.
The meeting underscored the commitment of both sides to preserving historical memory while pushing forward a comprehensive partnership aimed at stability, cooperation, and long-term development.
