China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks to discuss their longstanding Boundary Question. This development was confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun during a regular press briefing on Tuesday. Both nations are continuing to engage in dialogue regarding border issues, actively working towards implementing previous agreements from the last round of discussions.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is currently visiting New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. As part of his visit, Wang held a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, where the ongoing border talks were likely a key topic of discussion.

According to Guo, the situation along the China-India border remains stable, with communication channels between the two countries functioning effectively. There is a concerted effort from both sides to adhere to the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary talks, which underscores their commitment to maintaining peace and stability along the contested frontier.

The forthcoming talks are anticipated to build on these efforts, with both countries focused on managing border issues amicably. Maintaining stability along the border is seen as crucial by both nations, given the historical tensions and sporadic clashes that have marked their relationship over the years.
