Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang reaffirmed China’s commitment to advancing global green development and fostering a clean, sustainable planet. Speaking at the 2025 annual meeting of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) in Beijing, Ding emphasized that China is ready to collaborate with all nations to accelerate the global green transition.
He highlighted the country’s achievements under the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025), noting significant progress in ecological protection and environmental governance. Over the past five years, China has strengthened its leadership role in global ecological cooperation and taken major steps toward a “beautiful China.”
Ding underscored China’s dedication to pursuing low-carbon growth and developing green productivity suited to local needs. He also stressed the importance of multilateralism, dialogue, and balancing economic advancement with environmental preservation.
China, he said, will continue contributing ideas, innovation, and action to support global sustainable development and build a shared ecological civilization.
