China Airlines has commenced a new daily route between Taichung and Okinawa, enhancing its Japanese network and elevating its weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170. This expansion is part of the airline’s strategy to boost connectivity and provide more travel options for both business and leisure passengers.
The new service, operated by an Airbus A321neo, features Flight CI310 departing Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and reaching Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return leg, Flight CI311, takes off from Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and arrives back in Taichung at 2:10 p.m. This initial offering marks a significant step in increasing accessibility between these two destinations.
Anticipating further demand, China Airlines plans to roll out a second daily service on August 13. This additional schedule will see Flight CI312 leaving Taichung at 3:20 p.m. and touching down in Okinawa at 6:00 p.m. The subsequent return flight, CI313, is set to depart from Okinawa at 7:00 p.m. and return to Taichung by 7:30 p.m. These new flights are part of the airline’s broader goal to enhance its service offerings.
With the integration of these new flights, China Airlines will offer approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa each week, when combined with existing routes from Taipei and Kaohsiung. This expansion not only strengthens China Airlines’ presence in the region but also improves travel convenience for passengers traveling between Taiwan and Japan.
