China is set to host the Global Governance Forum from October 23 to 25 in Xiong’an New Area, Hebei province. Organized by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, the event aims to address pressing global governance challenges by bringing together a diverse group of international representatives from political, academic, business, media, and youth sectors.
The forum will focus on critical issues such as the role of the United Nations, climate change, artificial intelligence, and multilateral trade. Nearly 100 countries from the Global South, Europe, and the Americas are expected to participate, highlighting the forum’s broad international engagement.
Themed “Rebuilding Confidence and Cooperation: Reforming and Improving Global Governance in a Transforming World,” the event underscores the importance of collaboration and reform in global governance. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions aimed at fostering cooperation and rebuilding trust in international systems.
In addition to the discussions, participants will visit Xiong’an New Area, which China is developing as a forward-looking urban center. This visit is intended to showcase China’s efforts in urban development and innovation.
